In Term 1 students can “Have a Go” at Indoor Bowls during a class session and during lunchtimes. Those students who are interested can continue to learn more about the game and improve their skills during lunchtime sessions.
An Elite Indoor Bowls tournament is held locally, early in Term 2, with intermediate schools from the Bay of Plenty/ Poverty Bay area. The students play in teams of 4, in their year levels.
Training, for the AIMS Games in September, is ongoing. Students will be expected to commit to trainings to prepare themselves, as best they can, for this national tournament. We usually train before school, during lunchtime and at the RSA on Friday afternoons (in Term 3).
