The Mathematics focus for term 2 was on ‘Statistics’. Students completed a snapshot at the beginning of
the term. This information enabled teachers to find aspects that they could target during the teaching and learning for the term.
We have spent the term learning about aspects such as collecting, displaying and interpreting data. We then completed a similar snapshot to see how much progress each student had made.
As a staff, we have intentionally focussed on using data to inform our teaching. We will use this data to
further identify areas that we need to focus on to ensure our learners reach their potential.
In term 3 we will have a whole school focus on Geometry (Position and Orientation) and we look forward to seeing the progress that students will undoubtedly make during this unit of work.
