A Typical Day for an International Student
Your school day at Mount Intermediate is busy, fun, and well-supported. We focus on “Coastal Values,” which means our teachers help you understand our school rules and make sure everyone is safe and happy during break times.
- 8:45 am – The Day Begins: Arrive at school and get ready for a great day of learning.
- 8:50 am – Morning Lessons: Start your first classes of the day. Your teacher will check the roll to make sure everyone is here.
- 10:20 am – Morning Tea: We eat a small snack in the classroom while talking about our “Coastal Values” and how to play kindly with others.
- 10:25 am – Interval: Time to go outside, play with friends, and get some fresh air.
- 10:45 am – Mid-day Lessons: Head back to class for your next subjects or specialist activities.
- 12:20 pm – Lunch in Class: You will eat your lunch in the classroom. Your teacher stays with you to make sure you are comfortable and looked after.
- 12:30 pm – Lunch Break: A long break to run, play sports, or relax on the school grounds.
- 1:10 pm – Afternoon Lessons: Finish the day with your final classes.
- 2:45 pm – School Ends: Time to head home to your homestay or go to after-school activities.
