A warm welcome to Mount Maunganui Intermediate School.

We are a large, welcoming intermediate school which prides itself on excellent educational opportunities, both in and out of the classroom, for all of our students.

Intermediate schools are special places which celebrate the unique opportunities and challenges of being an emerging adolescent. Mount Maunganui Intermediate is a safe, positive, inclusive school.

We cater for 11-13 year olds and offer a myriad of opportunities for students to ‘become who they are” in a high quality, safe, and supportive learning environment.

We prioritise positive relationships to create a supportive, challenging, and fun learning environment. This ensures the students feel secure and empowered as we work together on their physical, academic and social development.

At Mount Maunganui Intermediate, we have excellent teachers who work in partnership with parents and whanau to support students to make positive progress in their two years with us.

We are a school that makes a difference and we are a school who cares about our students.
