Code Sponsorship Guidelines
At Mount Maunganui Intermediate, we are committed to ensuring that all sponsorships are managed in a way that upholds the values, identity, and fairness of our school. To that end, the following guidelines apply to all sporting codes receiving team or individual sponsorship.
General Financial Guidelines
- Sponsorship money is not to be given directly to any staff member.
- Sponsorship funds must not be processed through the school accounts.
- Sponsors may provide goods or cover specific costs in accordance with the guidelines below.
1. Training Shirt Sponsorship
- All training shirts must be Kelly green in colour.
- A sponsor’s name or logo is permitted but must:
- Be small and placed on the back only.
- Shirts may include player numbers on the front and back.
- Uniformity: If a sponsored shirt is chosen for a team, all teams within that code must use the same shirt to maintain consistency and unity.
2. Acceptable Sponsored Items
The following items may be sponsored or provided through team fundraising:
- Team gear:
- Non-branded drink bottles
- Gear bags
- Plain black beanies
- Playing socks in the correct team colour
- Match balls (these may be retained by the team or gifted at season’s end)
- Supportive team items:
- Hair accessories in school colours
- Lunches/snacks for game or tournament days
- Team bonding activities that promote positive team culture
- Logistical costs:
- Umpire fees
- Tournament fees (excludes AIMS Games)
3. Additional Notes
- The school reserves the right to review any sponsorship arrangements to ensure compliance with school values and expectations.
- For clarity or approval on sponsorship offers not listed above, please consult the Sports Coordinator or Senior Leadership Team prior to proceeding.
