Student Online Safety with Securly
We are excited to tell you about a new tool we’re using to keep our students safe and focused during the school day.
Last term, we rolled our Securly Classroom across the school ICT network to help manage our 1:1 Chromebook program. Securly lets us see in real time what our students are viewing and doing on their devices, ensuring they stay on task and use their technology responsibly. This includes visibility into all sites students are accessing.
A key part of this programme is the ability for our staff to monitor activity and manage device access in real time, which helps maintain a focused learning environment. So far, the feedback from staff has been really positive.
The features of Securly have been shared with our students and highlighted exactly what our staff can see and do. As a result, all students are now fully aware of the capabilities that our staff and ICT Department have to support a safe online learning experience.
